TROPICAL PARK STATISTICS Derby Consolation Stakes Winner, Mantagna, Heads Money Winners. . a Gables "Racing Association Distributes Total of S110,455 Daily Average ,813.42 Wright Leader. The second of the 1934-35 winter meetings at Tropical Park was a success, judged from any angle. The Gables Racing Association distributed 10,455 during the nineteen days of racing from March 11 to April 1, for a daily average of ,813.42. Prize money was well distributed, with the Maemere Farm Stable heading the money winning owners with ,425. C. W. Muller fared well with winnings of ,225, the Panama owners horses winning four races. Mantagna, because of his victory in the Derby Consolation Stakes on the final day of the meeting, headed the prize winning horses with ,850. Fidelis scored in the Orange Blossom and Maydr Bacharach Handicaps and earned ,280 to be second to Mantagna in the final standing. Wayne Wright had no real rival for riding honors. He won with thirty of his mounts for a percentage of .29 for the meeting. Carl Hanford, second in the standing of the riders, had only thirteen winners. G. E.
