DISCUSS NEW CLAIMING RULE NEW YORK, N. Y., April 3. Action by The Jockey Club on the troublesome claiming rule probably will be taken at the next meeting of the stewards, which is scheduled for April 11. At the session yesterday, the stewards discussed the ,000 clause at length and decided to defer further consideration and a definite decision until next week. Opposition to the rule recommended by the National Association of Racing Commissioners for universal adoption at their convention in Miami last January is growing, and several state commissions and racing secretaries have refused to recognize it.
