ST, CLAIR STAKES RENEWAL Juvenile Fixture Heads Attractive Half -Holiday Card at Detroit-Nine are Entered. DETROIT, Mich., May 31. The St. Clair Stakes for three-year-olds will have its second running as the feature of an attractive program to be offered by the Detroit Racing Association at its Fair Grounds course tomorrow. A field of nine was named for the five furlongs dash that carries ,000 in added money. The first running of the stakes went to Phildia last year. Among those named for the juvenile feature are I. J. Collins Bushmaster, which will carry the top weight of 116 pounds; Liz F., a consistent Texas performer; Santan, winner of the Victoria Stakes at Woodbine last week; Barbara A., which went through a successful New Orleans campaign; the Detroit-owned" Don Creole and others. Only three of the eight races carry the claiming clause and they serve as the first, second and eighth events. The Paul White-man Band Handicap, a three-quarters sprint that occupies the fourth spot on the card, attracted a field of six, while seven performers from the Grade C ranks were named for the mile Muskegon Handicap and fifth event.
