TUCCIA improved her position steadily and finished resolutely. HAEHEART failed to be dangerous under strong riding. RULE OR RUIN raced well under a hustling ride. DIDO had no excuse. FIRST PIGEON, fractious and on the inside most of the way, gained fast in the stretch, overhauled the leaders near the end and won going away. DOUBLETON, also fractious at the post, was placed outside the Stalls, broke in motion, set the pace to the final eighth and held on gamely in the drive. BILLY JONES bettered his position, bore in nearing the end, impeding JAZ AGE, but outfinished LYNVETE. The latter had no excuse. JAZ AGE was racing strongly when bumped by BILLY JONES and gave way thereafter. PARADE STEP tired. SUPERNATURAL was outrun. DOUBLE NUGGET, fractious, delayed the start, then broke badly. RJFF, taken back for no apparent reason leaving the back stretch, failed to reach contention. TORMY B. was cased when eliminated. Scratched 10665 Lucky Amelia, 105; 10922 Pottcrton, 113. THUMBS DOWN broke well, but lacked speed, moved up gradually and was benefited when MR. RICKS raced extremely wide and took TENACE with him, then withstood the drive gamely to get . up in the final strides MR. RICKS, rushed into the load early, continued in front to the approach of the stretch, where ho raced wide and impeded TENACE, for which he was disqualified. TENACE displayed good speed after startin" slowly, reached the leaders after three-eighths, displayed gameness after interference and might have been best MANHATTAN closed resolutely. CONASTANTO tired after reaching contention. SWEET SUSAN began slowly, but closed fast. BELLE OF MIDWAY had early speed. COHORT LASS raced well for a half mile. ,, Scratched 10996 Happy Rhinock, 113. The latter, taken to the lead gradually, held sway to the finaL eighth, where she gave way to the winner, but held TIGER CLAW safe. The latter, slow to get going, closed resolutely, but was no threat. BUDDIE TREACY, a strong factor for throe-eighths, encountered sharp interference approaching the stretch, but came again. CHORTLE went well for a half mile, then weakened. EL BANDIDO, in tlose quarters most of the way, failed to gain when clear. WILD GUS was outrun. The latter trailed for three-quarters, gained fast thereafter and closed strongest. CHARLIE JR., a strong factor throughout, held on gamely in the drive. BATTLING GIRL raced evenly without mishaps. FAIR CYNTHIA took command early, continued in front under, mild reserve, responded gamely to strong pressure and stood a long drive gamely to outfinish ANNUITY. The latter, in close quarters most of the way, closed gamely. ARAKAY, never far back, gained steadily in the stretch. UPON, on the outside much of the way, finished gamely under strong riding. SIR KOSTER could not improve his position. PRINCESS OCTA went well. SUPER TOY quit badly in the stretch. SPORT MARVEL showed nothing. ROLL HOME went well for a half mile.
