Won driving; second and third the same. - SQUEEZE OUT, away well and prominent from the start, alternated in the lead with PBOSECUTOR, disposed of him and held MEROVECH safe at the close. MEBOVECH, slow to settle into stride, moved up. stoutly in the last five-sixteenths and closed determinedly. PROSECUTOR, hard ridden to gain the lead, was much used racing with the winner and tired through the last .three-sixteenths. PLAY BOOK was prominently placed all the way. LAN, rated along under slight restraint while following in nearest attendance of the pace of CRACK FLYER and PROTEUS while they were disputing the lead, moved up on the outside and, catching the early leaders tiring, drew out at the end. STAROGAN, restrained early, closed gamely in the last quarter. ADVOCATE JUNIOR moved up on the inside nearing the stretch and closed gamely. CRACK FLYER displayed good speed and, much used disposing of PROTEUS, faltered through the stretch. MANTADOS was never a factor. Won driving; second and third the same. BELLE GRIER, away well but taken back of the pace in the run through the back stretch, responded with good energy when called upon and was up in the closing strides. HEEDLESS GAL, never far from the leader, held on determinedly in the drive and was unable to cope with the closing challenge of the winner. SOME GOOD, on the inside, was holding a prominent position when forced to come to the outside to obtain racing room in the stretch and closed with a rush, getting up for third in the last strides. DAVOC showed good speed and, showing the way under urging, faltered right at the end. ACAUTAW went evenly. HUG AGAIN was never able to enter into serious contention. PHARATIME, well placed, was under punishment through the last five-sixteenths and held on well fo the end. FOUR SPOT moved up on the inside leaving the back" stretch, made a determined effort in the stretch, but was not good enough. CRYSTAL PRINCE, reserved early, made up some ground. NOCTURNLABE closed, some ground after trailing for the first three-quarters. HIGHEST POINT faltered after racing the opening five-eighths. WAR TIDE, reserved early, saved ground in the stretch and finished gamely. GUIDING LIGHT, kept within striking distance of the early pace, raced wide into the stretch and was unable to improve her position under punishment. TRICKLING raced evenly all the way. GOLDFIN, a trailer until approaching the stretch, closed a big gap. CARDAMON had good speed, but faltered badly through the last five-sixteenths.
