Won driving; second and third the same. CALICO MISS, away nicely, was rushed hard to gain command, stalled off strong opposition from CANDY POT in the first five-eighths, saved ground and continued resolutely to withstand RONDELIER. The latter, away well but lacking early speed, rallied to punishment when straightened into the stretch and finished determinedly on the inside of the winner. CANDY POT forced a steady pace and held on with good courage in the closing drive. LITTLE SARGENT raced forwardly and held on gamely in the closing test. ACAJOU closed a good gap. GRANITE ROCK could not menace. MASONVILLE raced in spots. ROCHE DOR was outrun. BAD BUDDY raced wide leaving the back stretch. SEA KALE was never dangerous. ROYAL DUCHESS, going in her best form and forwardly placed, wore BUD ROYAL down when straightened in the stretch, withstood a hard drive thereafter and barely lasted to withstand RAFFLES PROBLEM. The latter improved his position steadily, came through on the inside entering the stretch and was wearing the winner down slowly at the end. BUD ROYAL was hurried into a clear lead, was kept in the better footing, but tired in the closing eighth. BEAU GOVANS was gaining steadily through the last three-sixteenths. BILL KENNEDY raced evenly. HEY KELLY followed close up for five-eighths, then tired. BOSCOBEL could not untrack herself and was never dangerous. MAEMERE broke very s.lowly. NOBLE GIFT worked his way up on - the inside until reaching the stretch, swung to the outside for the final drive and finished gamely. JOGGLE, far out of contention in the early stages, circled his field and finished with a bold rush. CANDY MAN raced on the outside all the way and held on well. HANNAH ANNE, slow to gain her best stride, moved up strongly, but failed to rallv in the closing test. SUE JONES was under stout handling all the way and had no excuses. LORRAINE S., on the outside and racing forwardly, lost ground entering the stretch, but rallied gamely nearing the end. KINGS BOUNTY bettered his position steadily and closed full of run on the outside. CARDAMON raced BLUE GUM into defeat in the first five furlongs, but faltered under extreme pressure in the closing drive. PRETTY MONK finished determinedly on the inside. AD ASTRA passed tiring horses. BLUE GUM was used up early and tired. RIFFLE showed a flash of early speed. OSIRANDO was done after a half mile. BUCK AND WING, cased back going to the first turn, obtained racing room on the inside to improve his position and fought it out determinedly after getting to the winner. GIFT ROMAN raced close up from the beginning and finished stoutly on the outside. DARKSINI raced well placed, but failed to rally when the real test came. JOLLY GAL could not threaten seriously. OMAREEN was never a dangerous factor. HASOLA quit early. GOLD PRIZE broke well, but refused to settle into racing stride and was pulled up. Overweight Hasola, 2- pounds. FRIGID FROSTY, away well but lacking early speed, worked his way up gradually when put to pressure, then came with good courage when placed to punishment in the last quarter mile. BIG FISH was kept out in the firmer footing while setting the pace, shook off CUDGELDRU, but tired in the last sixteenth. COUNT BRUNO engaged the leader when reaching the stretch, but was taken to the outside and tired right at the end. CUDGELDRU tired badlv after going three-quarters. EILEEN D. had no mishaps. SALVUS saved ground entering the stretch, weaved her way between horses during the final drive and closed gamely. HAPPY WARRIOR moved to the front with a rush at the final turn, but tired during the closing eighth. RURAL SHOWER moved up willingly in the last five-sixteenths and held on well thereafter.
