TRACKER, away fast and showing the most speed, was strongly shaken up when entering the stretch and swerved, when tiring in the final eighth, but withstood ROYAL- LEONS rush. The latter, badly outrun for .a .half mile and brought to the outside in the stretch, closed with fine belated speed" arid was rapidly wearing down the winner. CAPT. NADI dwelt slightly at the start, was much used early and tired after five:eighths. SHORT SKIRT held on well. MASTER BUCK also dwelt momentarily at the start, could not reach a contending position and was inclined to bear to the inside in the stretch. GREY STREAK and ENGELIC MONK quit. KOLEY BEY. well up from the start and under mild restraint until reaching the stretch, headed LEVAAL in the final fifty yards, but failed to withstand the winner. LEVAAL, rank at the post, was rushed to the leaders in the opening quarter, raced around BLACK RIVER to the front approaching I the stretch and continued gamely to the final fifty yards before tiring. OGEE held on well in a good effort. MISS RITZ was tiring when caught in close quarters near the finish. GIBBYS CHOICE raced wide through- J out and held on well. MORETIDE dropped back on the turn. MONDORF took command quickly, was raced a trifle wide throughout and, standing a hard drive gamely, withstood the challenge of MINSTREL SHOW. The latter, making his first start and under steadying restraint for three eighths, bore over when closing gamely under strong handling and impeded HIGH POLISH near the end, for which he was disqualified. HIGH POLISH, cut off soon after the start, from which he recovered rapidly, displayed good speed and had to be cased when going well, as MINSTREL SHOW bore oyer near the end. SPRING FLOOD finished well in a good effort, but was automatically disqualified. PRIVILEGED had speed, but tired in the final three sixteenths. WESTERN SLOPE had no mishaps. BELOW ZERO, under snug restraint for three-eighths, made a game bid, but could not get to the leader and, tiring in the late stages, barely stood off CHIMNEY TOP. The latter, on the inside early but brought out in the final quarter, stood a mild drive gamely. IMPEACH lost ground throughout and showed a good effort. BRANDON PRINCE, on the inside much of the trip, stumbled on the first turn, was slightly shuffled back when leaving the back stretch and closed well when under strong riding in the stretch. MISS VINCE, a strong factorfrom the start, lost ground in the final half mile, but held on well. JINNEE showed the most speed, but faltered slightly when the real test came.
