RIVERSIDE PARK NOTES hB : f Raymond Russell, owner of Alamo Downs, San Antonio, Texas, was a Riverside Park visitor en route to Chicago, where he will confer with general manager "Timmie" Hay anent plans for the annual winter meeting. Russell is the first race track owner to volunteer to set aside a day for the proposed National Horsemens Foundation, sponsored by Tommy Carroll and Damon Runyon. Johnny Kissanc was among the arrivals from his home in Bakersficld, Calif., and will remain until the opening of the late Ohio meetings, where lie has charge. J. H. Patterson, roving representative of the Thoroughbred Owners and Trainers Association, who came in the interests of its members, returned to Chicago to prepare matter for the next bulletin. F. C. Briggs arrived from Texas with the old campaigner, Scimitar, holder of one or the Riverside track records. Jockey F. Law, who has been riding at the minor Texas meetings, arrived from Midland and has applied for a license to ride at Riverside.
