RIVERSIDE SPORT EXCITING Close Finishes Keep Kansas City Fans on Edge Lady Tichner Wins in Final Stride. KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 3. Ideal weather prevailed at Riverside Park for the mid-week offering and another surprisingly large crowd turned out to witness an excellent card of eight races. While the majority of the races were staged under claiming conditions, some excellent sport resulted, and most of the earlier races were decided by the narrowest of margins. A driving finish resulted in the running of the first race, when Lady Tichner, making her first start in the colors of Mrs. Floyd West, slipped through on the inside during the stretch run to get up in the last stride to snatch victory from the pacemaking Kittys Rival. The latter is owned by the Jones Stock Farm. That Wins, from the Three Ds Stock Farm, saved third from Tip Inn.
