MURPHY AND HENRY CONFER DETROIT, Mich., June 3. Charles F. Henry, who will act as racing secretary for the Thistle Down meeting, spent today in the city conferring with Joseph A. Murphy, who will conduct the meeting in the Forest City, and went over the stakes and conditions with him for the first book, both of which will be in the hands of the printer within the next few days. It was agreed to make the minimum claiming price ,000 so as to cater to only the better class of horses and to make the Inaugural Handicap, to be run on Tuesday, July 7, ,500, with a ,500 added stake for each Saturday of the meeting.
