Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third easily. HANDLE CROSS raced greenly in the early running, but moved up gamely under urging, wore down GROUND OAK and then drew clear. GROUND OAK showed good early speed throughout, made a determined bid under urging, but hung at the finish. DONALD DUCK began slowly, responded to pressure and finished well to outlast GOLD CROSS. The latter came through on the inside and held on well. MASKER had no mishaps in the running. MAZURKA swerved towards the outside after the break and could not menace the leaders. JUSTDUN, under pressure in the early stages, could not menace the leaders. FRASCATI showed a flash of early speed, but quit under urging. Overweight Flagstick, 2 pounds. SECOND RACE ABOUT 2 MIXES. NATIONAL ANTHEM jumped well throughout and followed the pace under steady, restraint, moved into command when called upon and held his opposition safe, winning with something in reserve. SUMATRA was placed under restraint in the early running, moved up when called upon, but was bothered nearing the tenth fence, took up and raced to the outside, then finished well. WHAT HAVE YOU showed speed the first turn of the field, but dropped back when challenged and finished on his own courage. DANIE BOY, a trailer the first turn of the field, made up ground slowly over tired horses. TROJAN RACKET had no mishaps in the running. MERIBELLE showed speed the first turn of the field. SONNY JOE raced straight on the outside from the start and had no mishaps. PTOLEMY raced greenly and swerved in the running under pressure. GLEEMAN was rushed into command after the break, showed speed under restraint and held on well to the end. BILL FARNSWORTH worked his way up on the outside, lost ground turning for home and finished with determination. PRETTY NIGHT, outrun to the stretch turn, slipped through on the inside and finished well. SCOTCH BUN was shuffled back after the break and close with good courage. AT POST 3 minutes. Start good and slow. Won driving; second anil third easily. HIGH FLEET followed the early pace under steady restraint, moved into command nearing the far turn, shook off BLUE SHEEN and drew away at the finish to hold SPLIT SECOND safe. The latter was kept forwardly from the start, improved her position on the outside, made a determined bid in the stretch run, but hung under her weight at the end. FLORADORA, outrun in the early stages, was placed under pressure rounding the far turn and made up ground slowly at the end. REMINDING, a trailer to the far turn, worked her way up on the inside" and made up ground while passing tired horses. BLUE SHEEN was kept in a 1 1 forward position in the early stages, was placed under pressure in an effort to keep up going to the far turn, but tired badly in the stretch run. SEA CRADLE had speed for seven-eighths, but flattened, out badly after that. BEAUFLOWER had no excuses in the running, quitting badly in the stretch. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. INVERMARK showed early speed under restraint, responded to urging in the stretch, but was in close quarters at the end. PLAY CHANCE responded to urging and finished stoutly. KUNGSHOLM was in close quarters on the inside in the early running. REDLEY was kept forwardly during the early stages, but then faltered. CONQUER was in early trouble. THORSON quit badly.
