SEND ROCK X. TO DETROIT DETROIT, Mich., June 3 H. H. Cross, owner of the Tranquillity Stable, called Joseph A. Murphy, director of racing, from Chicago and notified him that he was shipping Rock X. for the Belle Isle Handicap and Challite for the St. Clair Stakes, to be run on Saturday. Rock X. will be well remembered by Detroit racegoers as the hard luck horse of the season of 1935 when he was beaten more noses in races here than possibly any horse in the history of racing in recent years. His heart-breaking duels with Ladfield in 1934 are also remembered.
