RIVERSIDE PARK NOTES I v v Devonian, a two-year-old in the Summit View Stable, broke a leg here Saturday morning while working out and had to be destroyed. Mrs. C. B. Irwin claimed Ruth Jelineb for 00. Trainer C. C. Lemons was fined 5 by the stewards for entering the horse Skinny Carlock in a race in which he was not eligible. G. Prentiss arrived from Chicago with one horse, Southland Toy. H. H. Faucett, with Roundabout, was an arrival from Texas. L. W. Hatchett, with Jim Ned, George and Princeton, left for Omaha. Starter McKnights schooling list comprises Dr. Coogle, Title Oak, Witchnew, Saucy Maria, Marble Boy, Lakar, Fair Fellow, Dixie Dan, Dundreary and Sleepy Joe. Squeezer was claimed by A. MacMaster from Li. Horowitz for ,600. J. Kingsley Macomber, steward representing the California Horse Board at all the meetings under the jurisdiction of that body, was an arrival here Wednesday, and plans to stay for a short while. The sale in the paddock Wednesday of the Three D.s Stock Farms horses turned out to be a bloomer when not a horse was sold, as the reserve bid was held to be too high.
