LAT0NIA TURF NOTES 1 Howard Wells plans to remain here for the balance of the current meeting with D. B. Midkiffs Tearout and Howard Oots Kai Mask. Tearout is a candidate for the ,000 Independence Day Handicap, final stake fixture of the Latonia Jockey Club spring program. Racing secretary William H. Shelley announced the next issue of the condition book will contain a race for gentlemen riders. The date for the race is June 27 and will be for three-year-olds and upward at a distance of a mile and seventy yards. Applications for stall reservations for more than 250 horses now racing at Latonia are being sought at Dade Park for the following: C. R. Allen, B. F. Arnold, J. S. Anderson, G. V. Barnes, A. L. Darnaby, W. E. Elliott, C. H. Ferguson, H. Forrest, G. Gano, F. Gering. J. G. Goode, U. J. Hak, W. Harris, S. Hazzard, E. Hilton, W. R. Hoffman, J. P. Jones, A. S. Levin, B. M. Lutz, J. McKeon, J. D. Meeker, E. T. Miller, J. Mosby, Lee Niles, J. F. ONeil, A. Perossier, K. Ramsey, W. Rust, J. M. Rector, D. R. Miller, M. Reiser. J. H. Skirvin, R. L. Stivers, W. E. Suggs, W. W. Westcrfield, C. R. Clark, J. P. Hall and Graceland Stock Farm. During the absence of Clyde Van Dusen, former jockey C. E. Gross will look after the Dixiana arid Van Dusen horses quartered at Latonia. Van Dusen accompanied manager Mike and Matas Brother, two Dixiana candidates for the Moslem Temple Stakes Saturdays feature at Detroit.
