AERIALIST forced all the pace, but hung slightly right at the end. MASKER closed with a rush in the closing strides and was doing better than the other two at-the finish. ESCAPADE raced to the front- under stout restraint, went wide over the. jumps, but saved ground on the turns and stood a hard drive under vigorous handling. BAFFLER was reserved back of the others, moved up steadily between horses through the stretch, but could not run down the winner after getting to him before the final fence. BLACKCOCK was unprepared at the start, but gained a good position quickly. HURRY HARRY was under a choking pull for a turn of the course and bobbled at several fences. THIRD RACE 6 1-2 FURLONGS. JESTING settled into her stride gradually, was in hand while pursuing the pace closely, raced to the inside to pass the leaders, responded readily and won handily. EPICAL was hustled to the iront- right -after the start, held swav under mild urging, but could not stave off the winners rush while: -holding the others safe. SCATTER BRAIN moved up between horses and finished well. REDLEY had no mishaps. CLOUD SWEEPER tired after forcing the early pace. CEASELESS broke fast, but could not keep up. FAIRY HILL had good speed from the start, saved ground throughout, but tired after getting to the leader. FENCING had a forward position from the start, but tired near the end, although outstaying SCINTILLATOR. The latter had no excuses. BILLIONAIRE tired. The others were outrun.
