MELODIANA entered contention midway of the turn, saved ground and came with good energy at the close. ROUGE ET NOIR worked her way up on the inside early, then came to the outside when reaching contention. HAPPY HAZEL lost ground while bettering her position. THE DRUM tired in the last quarter mile. BLACKSOD was done after a half mile. TRANSIT BIRD was held safe after showing carlv sneed. LITTLE MARTY, racing in his best form and a forward factor In the early running wlile fencing nicely, challenged strongly in the last half mile, took command at the Final fence when BLUE VISION bobbled and outstayed DUNDRILLIN. under a hard drive. DUNDRILLIN improved his position steadily and closed full of run. DAFFY made several bold bids in the last half mile and held on gamely after coming wide to the last two fences. LAW BREAKER, far out of contention for a mile and a half, finished with a tremendous rush. BLUE VISION held a short lead coming to the final fence after leading most of the way, but struck the brush and almost fell. QUICK VERDICT was racing gamely at the end. HIGH TORQUE wcaved his way between horses to reach a forward position and fought it cut resolutely in the closing drive. TITIAN KIDDIE raced in the first Right and held on with excellent courage. PRETTY BUSY moved into a clear lead midway of the back stretch, saved ground, but could not rally in the last sixteenth. SUPREME MAIDEN forced a steady pace for five-eighths, then tired. SUNDROPS tired. BALCONY, away very slowly, closed a good gap. SEA GULL was never prominent. SHEKNQWS was outrun. Scratched 25025. ATIT raced prominently all the way and continued gamely nearing the end. SANDY BELLE made ui ground slowly in the last half mile. NO MISTAKE lacked speed to reach a forward position and I could not menace when shaken up. JAMUL could not threaten. DIXIE BEE tired after three-quarters. FOKGET I01 quit, as did MARGE. SUNCRAX, away quickly and hurried to the front going to the first turn, met stiff contention all during the rUnning and, holding on strongly, outstayed TONIANNA. The latter, close up from the start, made repeated efforts in the last half mile and fought it out strongly approaching the finish. VEILED LADY, taken wide while holding a contending position, finished with a belated rush; and was going much the fastest at the close. FOND .MEMORIES went well placed in the early running, but tired in the last eighth. HI-SWEET failed tn threaten when placed to a drive, and also finished wide. PRAIRIE PRINCE closed a good gap. SPARTAN LADY, badly ridden, was in much trouble directly after the start, was caught in a jam when leaving the back stretch, luckily found racing room on the inside to enter contention at the last turn, then closed gamely to outfinish JAKOVIA in a hard drive. JAKOVIA raced forwardly under pressure, disposed of SIR KAI and fought it out willingly. SIR KAI broke swiftly, was steadied until challenged, but failed to stay when placed to a drive. HIGH FLAG was never a dangerous factor. STEPONIT swung very wide into the stretchy BALMACAN tired early. POPPYMAN was held safe. OAKIIURST was done early. REPEAL was badly outrun. WANDREL raced to the outside when reaching the back stretch to gain a contending position, continued to lose ground for the balance of the trip, but finished gamely. FLYING FALCON improved his position with good courage and finished determinedly when coming through on the inside in the last quarter mile. SIT OUT forced a steady pace for seven-eighths, then tired.
