ENGLISH INVADER, THANKER-TON, SAILS FOR U. S. TODAY Special Cablegram. LONDON, England, Oct 15 The English invasion of the American turf will begin tomorrow when Thankerton, which finished third in this years Epsom Derby, will be shipped to the United States. Thankerton is an intended starter in the 00,000 added Santa Anita Handicap next February and will be ridden by Michael Eeary, who will leave for the States after the first of January. It is planned to have Thankerton rested at Belmont Park before going to California. The owner of Thankerton. Mrs. Shand. with her husband, and trainer Gerald Armstrong, will travel after Christmas on the Queen Man and, later fly to Los Angeles. 1
