SIR AJAX ESCAPES INJURY CICERO, 111., Oct 15. Sir Ajax, which bolted so sharply to the outside fence just after he look the lead in the seventh race Wednesday, shied from a woman in a bright colored .garment in the infield, according to his rider, T. P. Martin. Sir Ajax, owned by the Blue Ridge Farm and a strong favorite in the race, propped himself before reaching the fence and was uninjured, as was the rider, who jumped from the mount to escape being tossed over the railing. Officials of the National Jockey Club today posted guards in the infield to prevent a recurrence of such a mishap.
