Won easily; Seconal and third the same. BARON GRAY showed speed from the start, raced MONUMENT into defeat and drew away, winning with speed in reserve. BRAVADO was outrun in the early stages, improved his position steadily under urging and was kept under pressure to the end. MONUMENT broke fast and showed early speed, but faltered as if short. Won easily: second and third driving. WILL DO moved up fast after the start and showed good speed, raced SHOWEMALL into defeat and then saved ground and had something left at the end. GUARDED QUEEN broke well and was taken under restraint when outrun, saved ground throughout and held BAD DREAMS safe in the final drive. BAD DREAMS improved her position on the inside and finished with determination. THAT ONE was in close quarters in the early running, moved up fast when clear and then finished well. SHOWEMALL forced the early pace, but quit badly in the stretch run. JUB JUB was in close quarters in the early running. GOOSE CRY and STYLISTIC were knocked back after the break. YETIVE was taken in hand after being outrun, was placed under pressure in the stretch, but swerved and bumped NIPPONESE in the final eighth NIPPONESE was kept under urging in the early stages and was racing evenly when bumped. BRAVO CARUSO, in nearest pursuit of the early pace, quit badly in the stretch run. GOLD CROSS dropped back after the break and was outrun throughout. Overweight Yetive, 4 pounds. CARDINALIS was rushed into command after the break, showed early speed and saved ground throughout and held on well under urging to the end. MALIGN, in nearest pursuit of the early-pace but on the outside of the leaders, responded to urging in the final eighth and held on well. TALKED ABOUT dropped back after the break and made up some ground at the finish. BUTTERMILK was taken under restraint when outrun, was bothered rounding the stretch turn and was then forced to come to the outside. SWIFT LAD could not improve his position under urging.
