DENY CANCELLATION THREAT Eumor False That Arlington Downs Reservations Would Be Canceled by Late Arrival. HOUSTON, Texas, Oct. 16. Rumor that reservations at Arlington Downs would be canceled in the event that trainers who had been granted stabling accommodations failed to arrive at a specified time, were denied Thursday afternoon, following a conference between Frank Reitman, general manager of Epsom Downs, and J. E. McDonald, member of the Texas State Racing Commission, who was a Houston visitor. The following announcement was issued with the view of clarifying the matter by Mr. Reitman: "Honorable J. E. McDonald, of the Texas Racing Commission, has confirmed a conversation he had with Mr. Trav Daniel, resident manager of Arlington Downs, notifying all horsemen now stabled at Epsom Downs, whose reservations have been made at Arlington, that they may stay here until the racing season at Epsom Downs is completed and the stalls will be reserved and held for them without the necessity of any further reservations."
