CHERAW moved up rapidly on the outside after a half mile, easily disposed of McKELL to take command and, drawing into a clear lead, won with something left. TORNILLO, a factor from the start and under snug restraint for a half mile, responded well when called upon and finished gamely. UNCHANGING, far back for five-eighths, moved up fast on the inside thereafter and was going fastest at the end. McKELL had good early speed, but tired rapidly after a half mile. COMMANDMAN was through after five-eighths. EARLY DAWN quit. COLOR BELL had good early speed, lost ground on the first turn, but held on fairly well. FIRM HAND, under slight restraint early, failed to rally when put to pressure in the filial quarter. BALD CREST, iway well and on the outside, was under strong pressure to shake off BILL DONOGHUE, tired in the closing stac.es, but stalled olf FOREWARNED. The latter, never far back, saved ground throughout and finished gamely. BILL DONOGHUE, hard ridden throughout, tired in the final quarter. DOMINO PLAYER, placed on the outside for the start and away fast, was shuffled back approaching the first turn and never threatened thereafter. MASTERPIECE, under strong urging after a half mile, came to the inside for the stretch drive and, failing to get through in the final sixteenth, came to the outside and finished with eood courage. MARGARET G., outrun early, closed with good speed. FLEA had early speed while racing under snug restraint, but failed to rally when put to pressure after five-eighths and was eased when he tired in the final sixteenth. SUN TRYST had no mishaps. BUNGALOW, outrun for a half mile, moved up resolutely thereafter, but could not reach the leaders. SHOW BOY, far back for seven-eighths, closed with good speed in the final quarter.
