Beal; bred in France by Comte G. De Chavagnac. Winner entered to be claimed for ,400. WENT TO POST 5:10. AT POST 1 minute. Start good and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. EUDES, rated off the early pace of FLOWER TIME, moved to the front when leaving the back stretch, shook off a stout challenge from MORE PEP in the stretch and drew clear at the end. MORE PEP, always in a contending position while racing under restraint, made a bold bid through the stretch, but was not good enough. GOLDEN PLAY gradually bettered his position after a half mile and finished stoutly. ROLLICK, slow to find his best speed, closed a good gap, then pulled up slightly lame. ITALIAN HARRY finished stoutly. TUNEFUL raced evenly, but could never engage the leaders. FLOWER TIME had good early speed, but quit badly.
