J VANDERBILT ASKS PIMLICO j IMPROVEMENT SUGGESTIONS . . i - i 4 BALTIMORE, Md., Oct 20. Suggestions from the public for the improvement of historic Pimlico race track were asked today by Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, who on Saturday became part owner of the track through his purchase of stock formerly owned by Mat- thias L. Daiger. Mr. Vanderbilt, interviewed at his Sagamore Farm In the Worthington Valley, said he has no plans for purchasing additional stock. He said: "I want to suggest various improvements for Pimlico, and my purchase of Mr. Daiger"s stock will give me the right to make such suggestions. I dont want to urge anything sensational, however, but Im going to take an even more active interest in the track now. Ive been a director for some time. "The race tracks couldnt exist without the patronage of" the public and I believe the public should be permitted to make suggestions for making Pimlico a better track. "Consequently, I want any interested persons to write to me here at Sagamore Farm, and make any suggestions they have in mind. I will present these suggestions to the directors of the Maryland Jockey Club."
