JOE GORDON FATALLY INJURED ARLINGTON, Texas, Oct. 20. Fatal injuries were suffered by Joe Gordon, former jockey, in a, fall from J. B. Gilmores two-year-old Escohigh, during a workout at Arlington Downs here early today. Struck by one of the horses hind feet as he fell beneath the filly, Gordon suffered a fractured skull, deep head lacerations and other injuries. He was rushed to the Baptist Hospital In Fort Worth, where he died within a short time. Gordon is survived by his widow, a stepdaughter of E. P. Slavin, Missouri turfman,! and an infant son. He originally came from ! 1 Pittsburgh.
