SPECIAL MATCH RACE FRIDAY TORONTO, Ont, Oct 20. Announcement of a special match race between Sue Jones, Background and Colored Artist as an added attraction at Duffcrin Park on Friday afternoon has caused a furore of excitement among those interested in racing and especially those who saw the thrilling finish between this trio at the half mile track Monday afternoon. Only an inch or so prevented the finish from being declared a triple dead heat, a rare occurrence in racing and with no precedent in Canada. A dead heat between two of the horses was declared after the photo finish. Background and Sue Jones being declared joint winners, their noses being aligned on the wire. That of Colored Artist was but an inch behind.
