TRAINER J. J. BRUMAGE AND HORSES SUSPENDED CINCINNATI, Ohio, Oct. 20. Upon receipt of a telegram from Thomas J. Ryan, secretary of the state racing commission, that the saliva test on the horse Hamburger Jim October 15 showed a positive reaction to strychnine, the stewards of the River Downs racing association today suspended the train-cr s license of J. J. Brumage, ordered the entries of the horses in his care refused and ordered the purse won by Hamburger Jim held up pending further action Secretary Ryan notified the stewards that the commission would hdld a meeting at River Downs at 1 oclock on Thursday, October 22, when Brumage will be given a hearing. Although saliva tests are taken of all winners and any other horses the stewards select, this was the first test to show positive. Hamburger Jim has won twelve races this year, a majority of which were at Beulah Park. . -
