PADDYS SISTER, racing on the inside, took a slight lead in the last three-eighths, responded courageously under strong pressure and barely lasted long enough to stall off INA DEAR. The latter was kept close to the winner after losing command, made repeated efforts and fought it out determinedly to the finish. OLD DOMINION was in near attendance of the leaders all the way and held on well for the final drive. FORGET NOT raced with the leaders until reaching the stretch, then tired. DRASTIC DELIGHT, allowed to settle in his stride before moving to his field, worked his way forward gradually, came through between horses in the stretch drive and, finishing gamely, was up inside the final sixteenth. UNION responded gamely when shaken up, swung to the outside and finished with good courage. THISWAY went prominently from the beginning and continued with excellent courage in the closing stages. ADAMITE, ridden, with poor judgment, was abused by being kept under stout urging after sprinting into a long lead, quit badly in the last three-sixteenths after losing much ground at the first turn. STICKEMUP, never far from the leaders, was kept on the outside for racing room, challenged stoutly I nearing the home stretch and drew out slowly after going to the front at the final eighth post. WORKING GIRL went through on the- inside of DOUGLAS F. when moving into the lead on the turn but tired when the final drive came. DOUGLAS F. had good speed and was ridden hard until the close. OLD STATE was strongly urged for the entire trip but was not good enough. MISS EPE showed a good turn of speed to race prominently but faltered under punishment when placed to a severe drive. LAFAYETTE BOY, nicely handled and away quickly, overhauled SETEMUP at the turn out of the back stretch, drew clear, then was lightly punished in the final eighth. SETEMUP showed good speed all the way and held on with good courage after losing command. REIGNING LASS raced in the thick of contention and held on courageously in the final issue. BEGINNING worked her way forward in tight quarters. BLUE SHEETS was vigorously ridden and punished but failed to stay. SHALAKO and PRINCE ALEX were never formidable. BIG PLAY, away clear and fast and having good speed, moved into the lead at tha turn out of tha back stretch, stood a hard drive when reaching the stretch and had enough left to stall off LOST FRIEND. The latter would not extend herself early but closed fast when racing kindly in the lata stages. MASKED GAL, away slowly, had a lot taken out of her to reach a forward position and she tired badly after getting to the winner in the final eighth. SIR WINDSOR was under stout urging to keep abreast of the leaders but failed to stay when the real test came. ASKARIS was never dangerous. TUG BOAT was done after going a half mile. BUBBLESOME, quickest to begin, was rated in front while stalling off repeated bids from STRATEGIST II., responded readily when forced to a stout drive in the last eighth and held on gamely to withstand PRINCE FOX. PRINCE FOX, steadied close to the leaders early, went to the outside in the last three-sixteenths and fought it out resolutely after getting on almost even terms with the winner. STRATEGIST II. made strong bids in the last half after racing close to the winner but was not good enough. MASTER LAD failed to better his position when urged. GRANDMAS BOY, slower than usual to settle in his stride, saved ground and closed with good speed. SOCIAL ERROR, lacking early speed, closed with a rush in the final drive.
