SMITHS LICENSE SUSPENDED Stewards Act Against Trainer for Violation of Claiming Rules at Omaha Agent Fined 00 OMAHA, Neb., June 19. The following ruling was made at Ak-Sar-Ben Saturday "The trainers license of L. E. Smith and. entry of the horses Pat Bane and Sunol, owned by D. E. Smith, are ordered suspended for violation of the rules governing claiming races. "On Friday, June 18, L. E. Smith claimed Pat Bane from Hunt, Beezley and Boeing. Upon securing the horse in the paddock after the third race, Pat Bane was led back to the Hunt, Beezley and Boeing barn, where he is stabled this date, in violation of the rules as above. "Pat Bane was entered today for a race carded to be run on Monday, June 21st, but which race was declared off for lack of sufficient number of entries. L. E. Smith was not at Ak-Sar-Ben field this morning to supervise his stables affairs and delegated Harold D. Adams to enter Sunol and Pat Bane for Mondays races. "Harold D. Adams is the authorized agent for Hunt, Beezley and Boeing, and on Friday, June 18, was fined 00 for claiming Pat Bane from his employers, in violation of the claiming rules. "Signed The Stewards."
