OISEAU NOIRE, taken up when the spill came, went evenly thereafter. SHADOW WALTZ, forced to take up at the half mile, made up ground thereafter. The latter, slow to settle into its best stride, moved up with a rush when straightened away for the drive, then faltered badly. LAW MAKER closd a big gap from a slow beginning. CAPITOL HILL, much the best, was taken in hand and rated well back off the pace for the first turn of the field, worked its way through on the inside approaching the eleventh fence, wore down. BRYANSTON and GALABANG, then, drawing clear, drew out to win with speed in reserve. GALABANG raced BRYANSTON into defeat in the first mile, then, continuing gamely, outfinished MR. PECK. The latter, a distant trailer early, closed a big gap. BRYANSTON was hustled into-an early lead and lost, ground on every turn and his rider had difficulty in keeping his mount on the course.. DUNLINS LAD went evenly. SUPER POWER made up ground from a slow beginning. NO ROOM was outrun. MASKETIER bolted out at the fifth fence when racing in fifth place and unseated his rider. " ...
