BUBBLESOMES GOOD RECORD Scores Fourth Victory arid Third at Agawam in Stone Haven Handicap Track Is Slow; AGAWAM, Mass"., June 19. In .a,. spectacular finish that resulted in his fourth victory this season and the third ih four local starts, Bubblesome, a jewel of consistency from the Stephen Panarella stable, proved that his recent score in the Stone Haven Handicap was no fluke. He gamely fought off all challenges to be returned winner of the Hotel Clinton Handicap, which featured the program at Agawam Park today. Opposed by four of the best distance performers that could be mustered for the test of one mile that was sixth oh the program, Bubblesome, under a skillful ride by B. Wim-mer, led from the fall of the flag and gained his triumph by inches when he flashed in front of the judges to receive a nose decision over W. C. Weants Prince Fox. Third went to the outlander Strategist II., who was before Master Lad and Money Muddle. The winner had one previous triumph at Narragansett Park before his triple achievements here and it was in a measure his best performance among the list, as he was extended to the very limit of his stamina to fight off the final bid of his closest rival. Ruling second choice in the wagering as Master Lad attracted the bulk " of support, Bubblesome dashed to the front from his inside berth in the . stalls and managed to lead by his own length until reaching the stretch.; - In the early racing Strategist II. stuck close to the Panarella six-year-old and he made the pace aC .quick, one as Prince Fox chased along in third position before Master Lad and Money Muddle. Given a brief respite to gain a second breath just before reaching the home stretch, Bubblesome rallied nicely as Prince Fox moved up to dispute the lead- in the f inal .eightieth en, under Wimmers strong finish, lasted for the verdict. Cloudy skies that threatened tain at any moment were the conditions overhead for the eighteenth day, of the. meeting, and despite these conditions a crowd equally as large as any preceding Saturday watched the sport which was conducted over a slow track, rain having visited once again during the night.
