1 LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES t : R. W. Mcllvain, Chicago oil man and owner of a stable of horses at Churchill Downs, was a visitor Sunday. The Mcllvain string is being trained by Jouett Reed. Frank P. Letellier, who has a large stable in training at the Downs, plans to take up the five-year-old Billbo and place him back in training. The horse, which has been suffering with sesamoid trouble, has been turned out for a year. Letellier hopes to ship five or six of his horses to Lexington for the Keeneland meeting, but has not decided which ones will represent him there. William E. Smith of Louisville, was at Churchill Downs during the training hours Sunday morning. He has a number of horses in training here in charge of J. T. Weaver. There is one older horse, Listening, among the five which W. G. Douglas brought from Lexington for Thomas Piatt. The others are two-year-olds. Sixteen more of the Piatt horses are to be transferred to Churchill Downs after the close of the Keeneland meeting. J. Graham Brown, owner of the Brown Hotel Stable, is a frequent visitor at the Downs during the training hours. Tom San-ford, is training the Brown racers. Jockey Charles Rollins is here and will do much of the riding for the stable of F. P. Letellier.
