FIGHTING FOX WORKS AT AQUEDUCT SUNDAY NEW YORK, April 11. Fighting Fox, the Kentucky Derby colt owned by William Woodward, chairman of The Jockey Club, is advancing toward his objective in a manner that is pleasing to his stable and other admirers. At Aqueduct yesterday trainer James Fitzsimmons worked him in a six-furlong trial, the colt covering the distance in 1:15. He did not work until mid-afternoon and, as usual, was accompanied by the five-year-old, Isolater. They broke at the three-quarters pole. After running the quarter in :22, three furlongs in :34, and the half mile in :47 they turned into the stretch, up which a" stiff breeze was blowing. It retarded the pace considerably. The time for five furlongs was 1:01. The Wheatley Stables Snark, a five-year-old and also trained by Fitzsimmons, shaded the time made by Fighting Fox, running six furlongs in l:15Vz.
