PREEMINENT IN HONOR SPOT Assigned Top Weight of 122 Pounds for Phoenix Handicap, Opening Feature at Lexington. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 8 Hal Price Headleys Preeminent, winner of five stakes last year and one of the leading sprinters of Santa Anita racing, will carry the top impost of 122 pounds in the Phoenix Handicap, to be offered as the feature of Keene-lands opening day Thursday. The Fighter, one of the best sons of Bull Dog and double stakes winner last year, comes next, under 120 pounds, and then follows Count Morse, under 117 pounds. Tiger, which has been out of competition since his victory in the Arkansas Derby last year, will tote 116 pounds, and Court Counsel is assigned the minimum of 100 pounds. The weights follow: Horse. He was timed the half mile in :51 and six furlongs in 1:17. Hants and Total Eclipse were limited to five furlongs spins, the former going in 1:05 and Total Eclipse in 1:03.
