A. C. ERNST TO RACE TEN LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 8 A. C. Ernst, of Cleveland, who established a breeding farm in Kentucky several years ago, will begin the season with ten horses, two of which he raised himself. The youngsters developed at the Ernst nursery are Alwiser, a chestnut daughter of Wise Counsellor and Yearning, and Alpoise, a bay filly by Equipoise and Laughing Queen. Both have been made eligible for the Debutante Stakes at the Downs. Ernst also has two juveniles he purchased at the Saratoga sales and they have been nominated for the Bashford Manor Stakes. One of them is a bay colt by Halcyon and Transit, named Alhalon and the other is Alador, a brown son of Sunador and Friary. Alhalon is a half brother to The Chief, a triple stakes winner last year. Present plans for the stable call for racing hers at Churchill Downs and after the local season ends, the string is to be transferred to Lincoln Fields. It is doubtful whether any of the Ernst horses will be sent to Keene-land.
