JADAAN improved his position steadily when settled in stride and, going to the outside of the leaders in the final eighth, finished gamely to wear down ODDESA LAD in the final strides. The latter was sent into command nearing the eighth post after racing forwardly, challenged gamely under pressure and held on with good courage. EVA R. worked her way up and finished well under pressure. LADY ORCHID, from a slow beginning, came to the outside and closed fast. APPREHEND vas sent into contention nearing the far turn, but tired after responding well in the stretch. MAMAS BOY showed good form. ROVING EYE had early speed and had no mishaps. SAILORMAN lacked early speed. OUR DAVID quit badly. TULEYRIES LIN had no mishaps. HI-SWING bled. Scratched 65615 Chiliad, 117; 71569 Graeme Cracker, 105; 72573 Itsie Bitsie, 112; 68903JSetemup, 115. GOLDMAN displayed high speed from the start under mild restraint, was placed under pressure in the stretch, bore out slightly, but held on gamely to the end. IDLE ELF, a forward factor from the start, came through on the inside at the end and got up in the closing strides to finish in a dead heat with GOLDMAN. WAUGH POP, on the outside rounding the stretch turn, made a game challenge and finished well. SUN ANTIOCH, close to the early pace, challenged gamely, was taken up and to the inside when GOLDMAN began to bear out, then tired at the finish. TRANSIT LADY raced well from the start. DIXIE S. closed ground steadilv at the end. RUFFY had a rough race going to the far turn. ROYAL CROSS was blocked on the far turn. "DARK FRIEND did not menace the leaders. PETIT JEAN lacked speed.
