LOCAL STABLES FORMIDABLE Columbus Strings Expected.to Carry Off Many Purses at Coming Beulah Park Meeting. COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 17. Columbus-owned stables are expected to cut quite a figure in the purse money to be awarded at Beulah Parks spring meeting, opening next Saturday, April 22, for twenty-five days. One of the most formidable Columbus stables at the track is that owned by Benny I Klayman and Leonard Lynch. This string is trained by Paul Clous and includes Free Spirit, a double winner at Oaklawn; Noa-jean, and Sweeping Wind. John W. Galbreaths Darby Dan Farms will be strongly represented. The Darby Dan colorbearers will include the good juveniles, Darby Dienst and Darby Dallas. Harry D. Shepards Riverby Stock Farm will campaign Worpoise and Wee Hedwig, along with a number of others that include three untried two-year-olds, Supreme Kin, O. K. Mullen and Giggle Lee. Additional Columbus-owned stables at Beulah will be those of John Bugh, I. B. Fender, Louis Lehman, Harry Fetzer, N. E. Shop, Pete Selby and A. M. Wheeler.
