WOODERSON QUITS FOR SEASON LONDON, England, July 29. Sidney Wooderson, star runner of England who holds the worlds records for the mile, 880 yards and 800 meters, has announced his retirement for the balance of the season because of a leg injury incurred in winning a race at Newcastle July 26. Wooderson was scheduled to meet Blaine Rideout, of America, at White City August 7.
