MISS IVORY, on the inside and well up for the first quarter, was taken back and to the outside thereafter, responded readily to strenuous urging in the last three-sixteenths and wore down WELL FLIGHT. The latter was rushed into a commanding lead quickly, then bore out badly when tiring in the last stages, SPLIT SILK, unable to keep up in the early stages, closed a big gap in the final quarter. JURABOY improved his position slightly during the last three-eighths. CLASHMAN forced the pace to the final eighth, where he suddenly gave way. SWALE quit. RELIEF, alertly ridden, shook off the early challenge of BRINO, assumed a commanding lead, but gave way badly in the last three-sixteenths. BINO raced prominently throughout. MAJORCA, rushed into command in the first quarter, was taken under steadying restraint while selling the pace to the final eighth, where she increased her advantage rapidly. WHITE FEATHERS worked her way up on the inside, responded well when placed to extreme pressure in the final eighth and held on well in the drive. BROWN STREET, never far out of it and under light restraint, moved "up on the outside when shaken up and finished well. FIRST UP was much used in attempting to keep up with the leader and tired near the end. ENTRE NOUS could not keep up. THREE CLOVERS was slow to begin and closed a good gap.
