Won driving: second and third the same. 1 WALE SIGNAL followed close up with the leaders early, responded stoutly for the stretch drive and was up in the last strides. GAY PRANK showed good speed to set the pace, shook off stiff contention from TRAPSHOT and fought it out stubbornly while saving ground. SATIN ROYCE, weakly handled, came with good energy in the final test. NEGOPI secured racing room on the inside in the late stages and came with good courage. SNOBBISH LADY was unable to reach the leaders. DOCTORS NURSE was held safe. TRAPSHOT showed speed for a half mile, then tired. VALE PLAIT raced wide. The others were outrun. MARGIE WRACK forced a steady pace while in pursuit of MIKES GRACE, challenged stoutly midway of the stretch to take command, then held on gamely and barely lasted long enough. MADFOOT, fractious at the gate, worked her way forward steadily, closed on the inside and was overhauling the winner at the end. MADFOOTS jockey lost one of his stirrup irons. PROSIT had good speed to race in the thick of contention and held on with good energy after making strong bids. MIKES GRACE set a good pace, could not get clear and tired under punishment. PARKING TICKET was racing gamely in the latestages. KISSIN KID showed a good effort. TRAUMEREI was done after going a half mile. The others were outrun. VALPUISEAUX, fencing nicely and saved back of the leaders for the first mile, gained steadily when shaken up, wore down the loaders after clearing the fourteenth fence, was kept under strong urging and outstayed MARTINIOUS. The latter, going in his best form, was much closer to the pace than in his last start and fought it out stoutly in the final drive. SANSARICA was sent up with a rush to take the lead at the eleventh fence and had nothing left for the closing drive. BELL MAN was done after going a mile and a half. PRATTLER, away ba"dly when he stood flat-footed at the start, was allowed to drop far back, then raced disgracefullv. TOY MAKER fell at the first fence. ACE OF TRUMPS, lacking early speed and shuffled back going to the first turn, worked his way forward steadily, finished gamely and wore the pacemaker down inside the final eighth. IRA L. was hurried into contention and came with good courage under a hard drive in the late stages. MISS WING sprinted to the front early, shook off BROMIDE and NO FAIR, hut failed to rally after going three-quarters. BRIEF made a strong effort after five eighths, then tired. NO FAIR was rushed hard in the early running and tired. NILON raced well although her rider lost the use of one stirrup iron. JACKFULL was held safe. BROMIDE quit badly. ROYAL BUSINESS, forced wide at the first turn, handled her weight well to race within striking distance of the leaders, challenged "strongly in the last three-sixteenths, slipped through on the inside to take the load in the last eighth, then drew out smartly. PANSYS FIRST was a stout contender from the start, made strong bids and held on willingly. PHILLIPS PETE was hard ridden for "a swift pace and held on well. CHALOTAUR gained a short lead to set the pace, but failed to hold on after going three quarters. ROYAL CROSS tired after five-eighths. BARGAIN BOY broke tardily and was never a threat.
