OFFER 00 TO ,500 PURSES Nearly 700 Stalls Reserved at Dade Park for Coming Session. Tri-State Meeting Is Slated to Open Next Saturday Afternoon Plant in Perfect Condition. HENDERSON, Ky., July 29. The sixteenth annual summer meeting of the Dade Park Jockey Club will have its inaugural next Saturday afternoon, continuing twenty-six days, ending Monday, September 4, Labor Day. There will be racing every day except Sunday. The purses offered range from 00 to ,500. Reservations have already been accorded more than 650 thoroughbreds, some of the outstanding stables of the country being xepresented. According to James C. Ellis, president of the Jockey Club, the prospects for a successful meeting have never been brighter. An attractive card has been prepared by Fred Burton, racing secretary, for the opening day. It is topped by the Inaugural Handicap, at six furlongs, for three-year-olds and upward, for a purse of ,000. There are eight races on the opening-day program. Secondary features include the Illinois Central Railroad Company Purse of 00, for four-year-olds and upward, at six furlongs, and the First Owensboro Bank and Trust Company Purse of 00, for three-year-olds and upward, at one mile. Lester E. Yeager, associate manager, announced today that the track, grounds and stands have been put in perfect condition by a large crew of men during the last few weeks. More than 300 horses are already on the grounds and additional arrivals are coming in daily from Latonia and Canadian tracks. Judge T. C. Bradley and J. J. Graddy, stewards, and George R. Palmer, starter, have arrived in Evansville for the meeting. Judge Bradley has been the presiding steward at every meeting held at the western Kentucky track.
