Stagger Charles Town Purses CHARLES TOWN, W. Va., May 19 The second edition of the Charles Town condi-dition book released by racing secretary Fred Burton, shows a return to the stagger system of allotting purses. The book has a 00 minimum and a ,000 maximum. The average distribution has been kept at ,800 on eight-race programs and ,400 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, when nine races will be staged. The ,000 purse will apply Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
