It means that the Classic and American Derby, as usual, will attract the best three-year-olds in training; perhaps be the final and determining factors in deciding the championship of this division. There are 56 in the Classic, 54 in the American Derby. These stakes, each endowed with 0,000 by the Arlington Park and Washington Park Jockey Clubs, now stand at 5,500 for the Classic, 4,150 for the American Derby. Starters are to pay 50 each.
