Horses That Nimkoff Races Bred at New Jersey Farm . SOMMERVILLE, N. J., May 19. Louis H. Nimkoff races a few horses .and also breeds a few at his Plainfields Farms, near here. A comparatively newcomer to breeding, the first homebreds are now two years old and are being campaigned in New England to the satisfaction of their owner. As there are only a few mares at the local nursery, crops are small. This year only two foals were born. One is a bay colt, by Allen Z. Parhoop, while the other, also a bay colt and sired by Allen Z., is from War Hope. Both mares, with two others, were bred this year to Court Scan dal, newly installed stallion at this establishment. The mares going to Court Scandal are: Desgai, 1934, by Desperate Desmond Lengai, by Sir John Johnson. Miss Hopeful, 1935, by Zacaweista Puente, by Porte Drapeau. Parhoop, 1935, by War Whoop Paraken, by Paragon JX War Hope, 1932, by War Whoop Weeya, by High Cloud. Bred by Llangollen Stable, Court Scandal is an eight-year-old son of Royal Minstrel, from the Star Shoot mare, The Colonels Lady. His most impressive score was in the 1937 Flamingo Stakes when he beat No Sir and Eli Yale under the colors of Townsend B. Martin, who had purchased the colt from John Hay Whitney on the morning of the race. Court Scandal earned 1,775.
