All Stabling Space Allotted At Wheeling Downs Course WHEELING, W. Va., May 19 A new record will be set by the stable colony now forming at Wheeling Downs, racing secretary William M. Shewbridge revealed yesterday, when he announced that all space has been allotted for the spring meeting opening May 28 and a waiting list is growing rapidly. Shewbridges list revealed that each of the 475 stalls at the Downs has been assigned and space for another half hundred has been reserved at the Belmont County Fair Grounds in St. Clairsville, Ohio. In addition to this there is a waiting list-containing the. names of a score of trainers who have asked stalls for another 175 horses.
