Dead-Heat Rivals In Paul Revere Hysterical, Sir Jeffrey Among Probable Starters For Next Suffolk Stake BOSTON, Mass., May 19. Judging by the way the potential field shapes up at this time, Saturdays running of the ,000 added Paul Revere Handicap will be a rerun of last Saturdays Governors Handicap, which ended with the Circle S Stables Hysterical deadlocked with Louis B. Mayers Sir Jeffery at the end of the mile. Virtually all the horses who started in the Governors Handicap are being pointed for the Paul Revere, including both Sir Jeffery and Hysterical. Among the others who ran last Saturday and are expected to go to the post are the Bern Stables Master Henry, Coldstream Stables Tragic Ending, John R. Macombers Side Arm, Bernard B. Robinsons No Competition, John L. Sullivans Transfigure and Air Master and the Valdina Farms Viscounty. Those who did not start last Saturday, but are being pointed for this week-ends feature include Phil Biebers Maechance, J. Yancey Christmas Rough Pass, Charles S. Howards Yankee Dandy, Benjamin F. Listers Bell Tower, Mrs. Charles Nelsons Alaking and Maj. Gustave Rings Cis Marion. The Paul. Hevere, however, is expected not only to be a more exacting test because of the fact that it will be contested over a mile and a sixteenth as compared to the mile asked of the field in the Governors, but it is also expected to be a truer run race. Because the start of the mile races at Suffolk Downs is so close to the first turn and the field was so large that a jam resulted from which several horses in the field, regarded as a good chance in pre-race sizeup, never got a chance to run until it was too late. Expected to Show Improvement Among those who should improve off their efforts in the Governors Handicap are Tragic Ending, Side Arm, the Sullivan entry, Viscounty and No Competition. Tragic Ending, in particular, was flying at the end of the mile, but didnt get a chance to run until the eighth pole. Then he moved up from seventh position to pick up the show award. Side Arm was a factor until the final drive, but should improve "off his showing and the added distance should be an aid to him. Of the Sullivan entry, which was sent to the post as the favorite, only Transfigure did any running; Air Master, considering his Maryland races will run better next time out. Viscounty looked more like himself than he has in some time. If the son of The Porter-Trap Star can run back to one of his better efforts he will be hard to whip, particularly at a mile and a sixteenth. No Competition, who went to the post in the Governors Handicap with his victory in the Rhode Island Handicap behind him, was in trouble at the first turn and never recovered. The son of Bull Dog appears to be one who must be kept out of trouble . early if he is to run at his best.
