BUSY MAN, hustled into contention at the first turn, went to the command midway of the backstretch, opened a commanding lead and then just lasted under eood handling. MOKANANNF". under stout restraint while within striking distance of the pace. wa« in close quarters biiefly on the turn, responded to pressure when clear and was getting to the winner. SKIPPERS MATE was forced to take the overland route and showed a good race. OUR BLEN improved his position gradually, was bothered slightly entering the stretch and then recovered to be going ■well at the end. CUTS was in close quarters on the rail. DARBY DONNA raced in contention early, but faltered after being bothered slightly. MISS KALOLA tired. BILLS ANNE went very wide at the first turn. Overweight — Darby Donna, 2 pounds: Bills Anne. 5. BECOMI.Y. on the inside through-cut, was lucky to get through when the leader drifted out entering the stretch, took the lead at the seventy- ard po«t and just outlasted ROUGH AMOS. The latter improved his position gradually and was going well at the end. BULRUSHES held a slight lead while under mild restraint early, held on better than usual and had no excuses. WAR AGENT had a contending position from the start and held on gamely. ANDREW PALMER, in close quarters early, moved into contention on the turn and ran evenly thereafter. DUZIT closed ground. The latter, hard held while being taken off the pace early, n.ovpd to the leaders with a ruch approaching the final fence and appeared headed for victory, but liun when placed to pressure on the flat. He made a bad landing at the ninth fence, but recovered well. GOOD CHANCE laced with the winner mot of the way, but tired after the la*t fence. REFUGIO was never • serious contender. PENSIVE was allowed to race on his own louiage while within striking distance of the leaders, went around the field to take command when fits rider pleased and drew clear in the stretch run to win easily. JIMMIE opened a commanding lead early, was well rated while setting a eood pace, held on rather well, but was no match for the winner. GALACTIC appeared to have been eased back slightly eoing to the clubhouse turn, was hard ridden throughout, but failed to rally. PICOTEE raced into contention early, but quit badly. SIN AGAIN coasted along while TOLA ROSE and FOlR FREEDOMS raced head and head, was not asked for speed until the three eighths post, moved around the leaders with ease and won as his rider pleased. FOUR FREEDOMS raced on the outside while with TOLA ROSE, disposed of the latter entering the stretch, but was no match for the winner. TOLA ROSE, under stout restraint while holding a slieht lead oxer FOUR FREEDOMS, saved ertur d throuehout. but tired badlv in the last three sixteenths. BISCAYNE BLUE, allowed to settle into stride early, moved to the leaders on the outside, drew clear at the eighth post and held GUERRILLA safe in the drive. The latter attempted to bear out around the first turn, was well handled, but could not stay with the winner in the last quarter. BALLOTER, far out of contention early, came with a rush to be going best of all at the end. MILK ROUTE went to the front after a half when able to find racing room on the rail, held on well to the final eighth, then tired. HAZEL W. showed brief speed. CONQUEROR III. was through early.
