PACIFICATION was bustled early lo reach serious contention, established a cood lead when settled for the stretch run and lasted to withstand RIGHT CARLA. The latter saved ground, came determinedly during the drive and was getting to the winner. OONRAD MANN, slow to begin and in close quarter! to the stretch, finished fast on the inside and probably was best. MATERIALIZE, outrun to the final quarter, closed strongly under punishment. FIRING PIN faltered neaiine thefmish. MAJORETTE had a rough trip. LADY LYONORS could not keep up. ALPINE LIGHT made the pace for throe-quarters, then gave way. TEMPLET saved ground while ncaaf within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, was taken to the outside for the drive and, after assuming command, drew dear. BARTS CHANCE was outrun to the final quarter, but came to the inside entering the stretch and finished well under punishment. PERSIFLAGE forced the pace to the final eighth, then faltered. CELTICS could not better his position when held down for the drive. BLUE COLORS, ©n the outside throughout, tired during the stretch run. FRESH AS PAINT went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. YALDINA IDOL was done early. REAPING GLORY, on the outside throughout, worked out the mile in 1:40. BRING ME HOME bad early speed. BLUE POM was outrun. THALEL could not reach the leaders when set down toi ihe stretch run. SILVER TOWER faltered after racing torwardly placed to the stretch. LANDSLIDE tned alter the opening quarter and lost ground steadily thereafter. PITTISTRAW was never prominent. SEA FOAM quit alter three quarter*. QUERCUS began slowly and was far back throughout.
