McCann Kee— I IRON BARGE— Was a fast-closing third I in last race. Now ready for a test at one mile or greater. ALORAYE — Lacked racing room in pre- * vious effort. Came fast to take third honors. SPY SNARE — A victim of adverse racing luck in former race. Can beat same kind. I MODWENA — Needed only a stronger handling in the last stages to turn defeat into victory several days ago. Mud or r dry at a ,400 claiming tag. TOPIC — Was much the best in his first outing here; narrowly missed. 1 DARBY DONHE — His first effort here was a good one; should improve off it. AZIZI — Runs on any kind of a track. A ,200 tag fits him if at six furlongs. RECKLESS — Off Florida races, this Melrose colorbearer should do very well here, j ERRARD — A swift-running two-year-old in the Futurity stable of John Marsch; enough said. CAMPS FIRST— If dropped down a peg may be first to greet the judges. WAYRIEL — Lost enough ground in only «* race here to have been an easy winner. Likes a distance and the ,750 caliber. FIGHTING DON— Looks and acts like a , good two-year-old. Prepping for the Lafayette Stakes. ALCHANC — Only a cheap plater, but can I run well with that kind. CARBONATE: — Was short in first race of the year. Should benefit by effort. WICKED — This one has been training in nice style. Wants a mile or greater. _. ». — By C. J. Connors Jam. — CACTUS FOOT— This fellow finished with ! determination in his last start and is ready for a winning effort. LEAVENWORTH— A drop in company may suit this fellow. He has some fair efforts 1 to his credit in the past. CADMIUM— As good as left in last start ! and then finished well. He is on edge. KINGFISHER— Had little chance at the • start in his last race. That effort can I be disregarded. RESPLENDENCE— This filly has worked 1 well and improvement can be anticipated I from initial effort here. LADY QUELLA— Worked well in private but bolted at the start of her last effort here. FRONTIER JANE— Raced on her own 1 courage in last start when saddle slipped and boy lost stirrup irons. Throw out that race. BARDIA — This one is on edge and ready f for a winning effort. Tab in own classification. AIR CURRENT— This one is about ready t for a distance effort. Was sharpened up » in a speed test last week. FRED CODY— May whip some of the I cheaper juveniles. Was shuffled back in l last start and had no chance. DOCKSTADER— This fellow is bound to I improve over initial effort here and improvement - can be expected. Worked well I in private. PINE ISLE— Raced well last season and I m initial effort this year a good one. Tab this one for future improvement. FUEGO — Belongs in the last race and over r a dry track will find a field to his liking. . ROSA BONHEUR— Was bothered in last t start but finished with determination. Tab in own classification in the future. TOP VALLEY— Bore out sharply in last t and then finished well. Under strong j handling may be a factor. FAUST II.— Can either sprint or go a route. Will be hard to handle next out. j FIVE THIRTY— Raced greenly in debut , here. Should beat a cheap field of ju- • ] veniles. I I PAT GANADO — A jumper of fair sorts. j Didnt like the "off" track which pre-1 I j vailed for that last effort. J TOONERVILLE — This Bobanet Stable rep- I | resentative has trained very well here but appeared short first out. RED WRACK— Has a bad habit of lugging in, but can beat fair routers when getting J i a share of racing luck. ABBE PIERRE — Trainer Harry Baker is prepping this veteran for a distance af- i j fair in the near future. May be worth watching. COMENOW— This three-year-old tired M| 1 if short after running the first mile in 1:41% over an "off" Jtrack last out. TINCHEL— The gelded son of Tintagel undoubtedly needed the recent outing, in i which he appeared a trifle short. That race helped a lot. CROSS COUNTRY — This one may run better when not made too much use of in early stages. GINOCA — Throw out that last disappointing race. Saddle slipped midway of final turn. SEA LETTER — May go better now that he j has managed to break his maiden. | ABRASION — Showed a good effort first out ; this year and should take a fair field. ! j MAE CASE: — This mare ran an excellent race behind Jay Jay and will bear watching. SEA CONVOY— May go better over a fast track. i By D. S. Fair Nar.— JOHNNY JR.— Raced on extreme outside in Taunton Purse and was narrowly beaten. VALDINA SECRET — Hard-hitting sprinter has returned to best form and" should earn a purse when pitted against ,000 band at six furlongs. EIGHT ROLLS — Has been knocking at the door and should beat a field of ,200 | 1 rivals at one mile or over. j MAXIMONT — Retains good form, but, needs a muddy track for best effort. Belongs | I with cheap company and prefers, six furlongs. PRINCELY GIFT— Only start at Narra-gansett was impressive and the Donna-Ray plater should win a purse when matched with ,000 field at sprint dis-I tance. ONECBILL— Raced in smart fashion at the , I recent Hot Springs meeting and is work- j I ing well for local debut. Breezed five furlongs in 1:02. April 19. FIRST OF ALL — One of the top performers in the Bonner establishment. Is round- I 1 ing into good condition. Belongs with the best. | WESTWOOD BELLE— Victim of bad racing luck when beaten in recent start and she worked a half mile in :48%, handily, last week. PA YINADVANCE — Maiden two-year-old filly raced greenly in only "start and should graduate at an early date. VICTORY DRIVE— Was timidly handled I when whipped by Mixer and he should show to better advantage under stronger ride. MERRY SUNSHINE— Was a bit short when 1 turned back by Prissy Miss, but should! make amends for that reverse when matched against same kind. ENTERTAINMENT — Shifty three-year-old gave good effort in first local outing. BILLY O. — Bowed to Goober Lad in Bridge-i port, after suffering interference. ROUGH COMMAND — Ordinary plater, but always gives a good effort and probably will annex a purse soon.
