Kyne, general manager of the California Jockey Club, said at Bay Meadows yesterday that he will protest the California Racing Boards granting of dates from September 1 to November 11 to Hollywood Park. Kyne said that Bay Meadows, on March 10, had been granted fall dates from September 30 to December 16 and that it was the California Jockey Clubs intention to use them. The Bay Meadows head said that many of his commitments to War Relief and charity were predicated on both spring and fall dates. Asked whether a 25 -day extension of the present meeting would be acceptable in lieu of the fall dates, Kyne said it would not. He said he would make a formal protest to the racing board as soon as he confers with his own board of directors.
