BLACK BADGE, inclined to bear la the inside while under strong restraint, forged to the front after five-sixteenths, drew away under good handling, tired badly in the last stages and withstood COLONEL READ. The latter was taken up when bothered by the winner soon after the start, came willingly when clear and was wearing BLACK BADGE down COMANCHE PEAK, taken in hand when outrun and in close quarters at the turn, came again in the drive. The latter, probably the best, was bothered when COUNT CHANT quit in front l him, came to the outside for the drive and was wearing down the winner. STE. FRANCES had the -p»ed, was taken bark when in close quarters, came again in the drive and tired. BOLOS CHOICE tired. WISE SUE had no mishaps. MY POP was outrun. QUICK STITCH was unable to keep up. ANTICLIMAX, going in hi bad form and reserved early, took command when ready, was unable to draw clear, dropped back approalins the turn and came again in the drive to finish strongly. PARASANG refused to extend himself early, ducked to the inside in the drive and failed to threaten. CAMPS FIRST had good speed, but tired. Scratched — 563753 Samborombon. 109. RECALLING had good speed, tired in the drive and lasted to finish in a dead heat with TRAUMELUS. The latter came steadily and finished strongly. COUNT TRAUMER tired. BRUTUS was outrun. WICKED was unable to keep up. JEFFERSONTOWN was outrun and pulled up lame. BlRMAN was done after five eighths. Overweight — Recalling, I5 pounds.
